Inspirations
Thoughts to inspire, motivate, and amuse

"I find the great thing in this world is not so much where we stand as in what direction we are moving: To reach the port of heaven, we must sail sometimes with the wind and sometimes against it - but we must sail, and not drift, nor lie at anchor."

- Oliver Wendell Holmes

Five-minute miracles
Things that make your life easier

No time to stand in line at the post office so someone can weigh your package and stick postage on it? No problem. Go to http://www.intershipper.net. Enter the zip code you're sending from, the package's destination, and the weight and dimensions of the package. The service compares delivery options and prices from several major shippers; pick one and you can click directly over to that shipper's site to arrange for shipping. And of course, this is the Web, so the information is free.

Indulgences
Ways to delight your mind, body, and soul

Surely by now you've heard about the health benefits of dark chocolate -- the best news to come along in a long time, right? What is it about cocoa that warms the spirit as well as the body? In the dark night of the year, a mug of it feels like liquid mother-love.

Here are a couple of great options for your chocolate consumption. Believe it or not, Lindt Excellence 70% Cocoa Dark Chocolate bars can even be part of a healthy diet (it's the 70%-plus cocoa part that's been shown to have benefits for the cardiovascular system). They're meant for slow melting in the mouth, not gobbling, which means you consume less of them than you might of cheaper chocolate.

For a more caloric treat, Starbuck's Chantico is about 400 calories but delicious all the way down to your hips. It's called "sipping chocolate" because it really is too thick and creamy to simply toss back all at once.

Either way, they're a good reward after a winter MindWalk.
